Farm Fresh Eggs

Duck eggs, Chicken eggs and Guinea fowl eggs

Our small farm is happy to share that our ducks, chickens and guineas are all laying eggs. They are producing so many eggs that we cannot use them all. So, we added this page to let our neighbors in the Paris, Texas and Dallas metroplex area know that we have farm fresh eggs if they would like some.

You can contact us through email to order your eggs or you can reach out through social media to request some eggs as well.

Our ducks, chickens and guineas:

What is the difference in the eggs?

Just as every bird is unique, so are the eggs that they produce. The duck eggs are larger and heftier than the chicken eggs. We often get duck eggs with double yolks in them as well. The duck egg shells are typically a creamy white, but occasionally we will have a green one in the bunch. This happens when the duck eats too much grass or too many green vegetables (we like to feed them green peas!).

Our hens lay medium to small eggs. They produce white and brown eggs, but the brown eggs are larger. The taste is so amazingly fresh that it is hard to describe. You will notice that the yolks are a brighter orange color whereas a store bought egg is usually a pale yellow color. The brighter oranger color is a good indication of their freshness!

The guinea eggs are small and oval shaped with a little point to them. They are smaller in size, but have a richer creamier taste. Due to their size, you often have to use multiple guinea eggs to equal one chicken egg.

Here are some photos showing the different eggs , their sizes and yolks.
